AWARD FOR AUTOSYMPHONIC

FIRST PRIZE & EVA IN GOLD

“golden apple” for innovation in the category “public event” of FAMAB Association for Direct Business Communications, Germany
“Best Event” in Germany for the season 2011/12

Acclaimed by The Huffington Post as “One of the world’s more remarkable symphony concerts”, Marios Joannou Elia’s AUTOSYMPHONIC is the winner of the prestigious “Golden Apple” 2012 in the category “Public Event”. The thirteen-member jury unanimously voted for AUTOSYMPHONIC underlying the exceptional and unique use of the 80 automobiles as musical instruments within the symphony. From the statement of the Jury: “The whole world loves automobiles; the whole world loves music!”.

The Awards Gala took place in Rosengarten, Mannheim on November 8th, 2012 before an audience of 1,500 prominent guests. Elia received the Award together with the production team of autosymphonic: Michel Maugé (producer, CEO of m:con-mannheim:congress GmbH) and Horst Hamann (staging). Commissioned by m:con Mannheim and the Municipality of Mannheim, the task, 125 years after the invention of the automobile by Carl Benz there, was to come up with an event that would do justice to his invention, which changed the world. Even before it got underway, the AUTOSYMPHONIC was destined to be an event worthy of superlatives. [Read More]
